Mr. Cheng was born in Xiangyin County, Hunan in 1944, raised and grew up in Xindian, Taipei. Despite facing poerty during childhood, he set our on his own from a young age. With unwavering determination, he founded DEE VAN Enterprise in 1971 at the young age of 26.

At the time, Mr. Cheng had no particular skills or expertise. His journey began with his first job as an apprentice, handling various tasks at Yulon Motor.
Through dedication and a diligent attitude, he found opportunities to work as a technical officer and sales representative in the engineering department at General Electronics and Wang An Computer. This period nurtured his strong interest in the electronics industry. His experience in sales and keen observation skills mafe him realize the potential of the rising electronics industry. He boldly decided to venture into entrepreneurship, all while working hard to complete his university studies part-time. -

In the early days of the 1969 starup, due to a lack of funding and immature technology, Mr. Cheng saw the necessity to import new knowledge from abroad and engage in continuous internal learning in order to seize more opportunities. Despite the unpredictable business environment, through persistant efforts and spirit, he finally broke through the barriers and manufactured high-quality components at prices below market rates.
In 1971, Mr. Cheng has officially founded DEE VAN Enterprise. At that time, Taiwan was experiencing a phase of industrial growth, and within a few years of entrepreneurship, Mr. Cheng created the third-largest enterprise in Xindian. The small pricessing factory with five employees grew into a large facotry employing several thousands of people. This not only provided stability to the community and contributed to local economic development but also mafe DEE VAN a well-known brand in the domestic power supply industry.

Over the years, DEE VAN Enterprise cointinued to establish facotries in various locations, both domestically and internationally, including the Philippines, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Jiashan, Longchuan, and more. With decades of dedication to these regions, the foudner, with a spirit of gratitude and a deep sense of duty, extended his generosity to countless families from his hometown, as well as to various provinces. He became a role model, leaving an indelible mark in the renowned Qu Yuan Temple archway. To this day, countless senior employees from Hunan and other regions contine to follow him.
